Week 10 Storylines to Watch
The Patriots have won six straight games and lead the AFC East at 7-2. New England faces a tough test at Tampa Bay this week. The Buccaneers are 6-2 and coming off their bye week. This game could show us if the Patriots are truly elite or just beating up on bad teams.
Buffalo defeated Kansas City 28-21 in Week 9. The Bills looked like the best team in football for the first time this season. Josh Allen played nearly perfect and the defense dominated Patrick Mahomes. Buffalo sits at 6-2 and needs to keep winning to catch the Patriots in the division race.
The Colts lost to Pittsburgh 27-20 in Week 9 after Daniel Jones struggled badly. Indianapolis sits at 7-2 but heads to Germany to face Atlanta. The Colts need to bounce back and prove their hot start was no fluke. Their schedule only gets tougher from here.
The NFC West has become a three-team race. The Rams and Seahawks both sit at 6-2 while the 49ers are 6-3. Los Angeles visits San Francisco in a huge division game this week. The winner takes control of the playoff race heading into November.
Thursday Night Football – November 6
Las Vegas Raiders at Denver Broncos
Kickoff: 8:15 PM ET on Prime Video – Empower Field at Mile High, Denver, CO
The Broncos have won six straight games and look unstoppable. Bo Nix has become a star in the fourth quarter. Denver knows how to make comebacks when the game is on the line. The Broncos beat Houston 18-15 on a walk-off field goal in Week 9.
Las Vegas dropped to 2-6 after losing to Jacksonville 30-29 in overtime. Geno Smith and Pete Carroll have not worked out well for this franchise. The Raiders struggle on both sides of the ball. Denver has not lost at home in over a calendar year.
The Broncos pull away in the second half and improve to 8-2. Las Vegas continues to sink deeper into rebuild mode.

Sunday Early Games – November 9
Atlanta Falcons at Indianapolis Colts (Germany)
Kickoff: 9:30 AM ET on NFL Network – Olympic Stadium Berlin, Berlin, Germany
The Falcons have lost three straight games and dropped to 3-5. Atlanta lost to New England 24-23 after kicker Parker Romo missed an extra point. The Colts lost at Pittsburgh 27-20 and looked terrible in Week 9. Daniel Jones showed his old Giants form and that is never good.
This game takes place in Germany as a neutral site. The Colts are technically the home team. Jones needs to bounce back after his worst game of the season. Atlanta has a strong defense that can create problems.
The Falcons hang around but the Colts are the better team. Indianapolis makes fewer mistakes and escapes with a close win. The Colts maintain their lead in the AFC South at 7-2.

New York Giants at Chicago Bears
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET on FOX – Soldier Field, Chicago, IL
The Giants are spiraling at 2-7 with four losses in their last five games. New York lost to San Francisco 34-24 in Week 9. The Bears won a wild shootout against Cincinnati 47-42. Chicago scored at will in that victory.
Jaxson Dart has played well for the Giants given the circumstances. The Bears defense is shaky and could give up points. Caleb Williams is the more proven quarterback though. Chicago sits at 5-3 and wins another close game in the final seconds.

Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET on CBS – Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL
The Dolphins are falling apart at 2-7. Miami lost to Baltimore 28-6 on Thursday Night Football. The franchise traded players before the deadline and fired GM Chris Grier. More changes are expected. The team needs a complete reset.
Buffalo just beat Kansas City 28-21 and looks dominant. The Bills defense held Patrick Mahomes to one of his worst starts ever. James Cook ran for 125 total yards against the Chiefs. Buffalo has owned Miami in recent years.
This game gets ugly fast. The Bills win by multiple touchdowns and improve to 7-2.

Baltimore Ravens at Minnesota Vikings
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET on FOX – U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, MN
The Ravens have won two straight with Lamar Jackson back from injury. Baltimore destroyed Miami 28-6 in Week 9. The Vikings beat Detroit 27-24 on the road. Minnesota sits at 4-4 with JJ McCarthy playing well at quarterback.
Lamar Jackson is the best player on the field. The Ravens are getting healthier at the right time. Baltimore feels like a better team than their 3-5 record shows. The Vikings play tough at home but the Ravens make one more play late.

Cleveland Browns at New York Jets
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET on CBS – MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
This could be one of the ugliest games of the season. Both teams are among the worst in the NFL. The Browns are 2-6 and have a playoff-caliber defense but terrible offense. The Jets are 1-7 and bad on both sides of the ball.
Justin Fields has struggled all season for New York. Cleveland has the best defense in this matchup. The Browns win an ugly game by four points. Neither team benefits from winning at this point. Both franchises need a hard reset through the draft.

New England Patriots at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET on CBS – Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, FL
The Patriots have won six straight and sit at 7-2. New England looks balanced on both sides of the ball. Tampa Bay is 6-2 and coming off their bye week. The Buccaneers are distancing themselves in the NFC South again.
Drake Maye and Baker Mayfield are two of the best quarterbacks this season. Tampa has the better roster talent overall. The Buccaneers play at home and are well-rested. New England keeps it close but Tampa scores late to take the lead.
The Buccaneers win by two points in another dramatic finish. The Patriots drop to 7-3 and could see their AFC East lead shrink.

New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET on FOX – Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, NC
The Panthers shocked everyone by beating Green Bay 16-13 on a walk-off field goal in Week 9. Carolina sits at 5-4 and is in the playoff picture. The Saints are 1-7 and rebuilding with a rookie quarterback. New Orleans is heading toward a top draft pick.
Rico Dowdle has been excellent for Carolina after signing in free agency. The Panthers can control the clock with their running game. Carolina has a real shot at a 6-4 start. The Panthers are the better team and win at home.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET on CBS – NRG Stadium, Houston, TX
The Jaguars beat Las Vegas 30-29 in overtime in Week 9. Jacksonville sits at 5-3 and remains in the AFC playoff picture. The Texans likely will not have CJ Stroud due to his concussion suffered against Denver. Houston dropped to 3-5 and has been bitten by injuries all season.
Trevor Lawrence has been just average this season. The Jaguars defense is quite good though. Without Stroud the Texans struggle on offense. Houston needs a defensive touchdown to have a chance. The Jaguars win a close game on the road.

Sunday Late Games – November 9
Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks
Kickoff: 4:05 PM ET on CBS – Lumen Field, Seattle, WA
The Cardinals lost to Dallas on Monday Night Football and sit at 2-5. Kyler Murray appears to be in a soft benching situation. Seattle destroyed Washington 38-14 on Sunday Night Football. The Seahawks are one of the most balanced teams in the NFL at 6-2.
Sam Darnold continues to play at a high level for Seattle. The Seahawks can hurt opponents on offense or defense. Arizona has more questions than answers right now. Seattle wins by multiple scores at home.
Pick: Seahawks 30, Cardinals 20
Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers
Kickoff: 4:25 PM ET on FOX – Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, CA
The 49ers are 6-3 despite dealing with tons of injuries. Mac Jones has played well as the starting quarterback. San Francisco beat the Giants 34-24 in Week 9. The Rams are 6-2 after blowing out New Orleans 34-10.
Matthew Stafford is playing MVP-level football this season. The Rams are much healthier than San Francisco. This is a huge NFC West division game. Los Angeles wins a close one on the road.

Detroit Lions at Washington Commanders
Kickoff: 4:25 PM ET on FOX – Northwest Stadium, Landover, MD
Washington lost to Seattle 38-14 at home in Week 9. The Commanders dropped to 5-3 on the season. Jayden Daniels will not play due to his dislocated elbow. Detroit lost at home to Minnesota 27-24 and should be angry about that result.
The Lions come out swinging after a bad loss. Dan Campbell’s team responds well to defeats. Backup quarterback Marcus Mariota cannot do enough for Washington. Detroit sits at 5-3 and wins big on the road.
Pick: Lions 33, Commanders 17
Sunday Night Football – November 9
Pittsburgh Steelers at Los Angeles Chargers
Kickoff: 8:20 PM ET on NBC – SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA
The Steelers beat Indianapolis 27-20 in Week 9 after forcing six turnovers. Pittsburgh sits at 5-3 heading west. The Chargers beat Tennessee 27-20 but lost left tackle Joe Alt for the season. Los Angeles is now down both starting tackles at 6-3.
The Chargers offensive line may be the worst in the NFL now. The Steelers pass rush should feast in this game. Aaron Rodgers has been steady and efficient all season. Pittsburgh scores late in the fourth quarter to take the lead. The Chargers cannot answer.

Monday Night Football – November 10
Philadelphia Eagles at Green Bay Packers
Kickoff: 8:15 PM ET on ESPN/ABC – Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI
The Eagles are coming off their bye week well-rested at 6-2. Philadelphia won their last two games before the break. The Packers lost at home to Carolina 16-13 on a walk-off field goal. Green Bay sits at 5-2-1 and has been too inconsistent this season.
The Eagles made multiple trades to improve their defense. Philly should be slightly favored in this matchup. The Packers have not taken the next step into true contention. Philadelphia keeps their winning streak alive on the road.
Pick: Eagles 26, Packers 20
Game Analysis and Key Matchups
The Patriots vs Buccaneers game is the marquee matchup of the early window. Both teams have elite quarterback play and balanced rosters. New England needs to prove they can beat good teams. Tampa Bay has home field advantage after the bye week.
The Rams at 49ers game decides the NFC West race. Los Angeles has Matthew Stafford playing at an MVP level. San Francisco keeps fighting through injuries with Mac Jones under center. This division might come down to Week 18.
The Steelers visiting the Chargers has major wild card implications. Pittsburgh can expose Los Angeles’ terrible offensive line situation. The Chargers lost both starting tackles to season-ending injuries. Aaron Rodgers needs to stay clean in the pocket.
The Eagles at Packers on Monday night is a playoff rematch. Philadelphia won in the Wild Card round last season. Green Bay needs to find consistency at home. The NFC playoff seeding could shift dramatically based on this result.
Final Thoughts
Week 10 represents a crucial point in the playoff race. The Patriots lead the AFC East but the Bills are right behind them. The NFC West becomes a three-team fight between the Rams, Seahawks and 49ers.
