What is New About the 2026 International Slate

Six of the nine games are repeat markets. The other three break new ground.

  • Australia joins the map. The 49ers and Rams play the first regular season NFL game ever staged in Australia, at the country’s largest stadium.
  • Brazil moves to Rio de Janeiro. After two years in São Paulo, the Cowboys host the Ravens at the Maracanã, Brazil’s most famous ground.
  • Paris gets its first game. The Saints host the Steelers at the Stade de France, making France the newest country on the NFL map.
  • Mexico City is back. The Vikings and 49ers end a three season absence, the first NFL game there since 2022, when the 49ers beat the Cardinals at the old Estadio Azteca.
  • London reaches 45 games. The capital has staged regular season football every year since 2007 apart from 2020, when the pandemic wiped out its slate. Three more this season take the running total to 45.
  • Madrid returns. The Santiago Bernabéu hosts a second straight November game after its debut in 2025.

Stadiums and Locations for Every 2026 Game

  • Melbourne Cricket Ground, Australia: a 100,024 capacity arena built for cricket and Australian rules football, and the largest stadium in the Southern Hemisphere. This is its first NFL game.
  • Maracanã, Rio de Janeiro: the site of two World Cup finals, in 1950 and 2014, and the largest stadium in Brazil.
  • Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London: the only stadium outside North America purpose built for the NFL. Its grass pitch splits into three sections and retracts underground to reveal a permanent synthetic gridiron. It takes two games.
  • Wembley Stadium, London: the venue that started the International Series in 2007 and still hosts one game a year.
  • Stade de France, Paris: France’s national stadium and a first time NFL host.
  • Santiago Bernabéu, Madrid: Real Madrid’s rebuilt home, back for a second NFL season.
  • FC Bayern Munich Arena, Germany: Bayern Munich’s home ground, which seats about 70,000 in NFL configuration, part of the league’s long term German commitment.
  • Estadio Banorte, Mexico City: the renamed Estadio Azteca, at 7,200 feet the highest venue on the NFL calendar.

How to Watch NFL International Games 2026

Coverage in 2026 is split across five different broadcasters, so no single subscription carries all nine games.

In the United States:

  • NFL Network and NFL+: five games shown exclusively here, the three London dates in Weeks 4, 5 and 6, then Paris in Week 7 and Madrid in Week 9.
  • Netflix: the Melbourne opener in Week 1. It streams in more than 200 countries and also airs on over the air TV in the Los Angeles and San Francisco markets.
  • CBS, Paramount+ and NFL+: Rio de Janeiro in Week 3 at 4:25 PM ET, the only international game in a standard Sunday afternoon window.
  • FOX, FOX One and NFL+: Munich in Week 10.
  • NBC, Peacock and NFL+: Mexico City in Week 11 as Sunday Night Football.

Outside the United States: NFL Game Pass on DAZN streams every game in most territories, and local rights holders carry games in their own markets. The league’s ways to watch by country guide lets you pick your region and see the official carrier.

A note on the Melbourne kickoff: 8:35 PM ET on Thursday is 10:35 AM on Friday, September 11, in Melbourne. That 14 hour gap is the widest for any regular season NFL game, and it lands as a morning game for the home crowd. The trip is one reason the 49ers face roughly 38,000 travel miles this season, a league record.

Which Teams Travel in 2026

Sixteen clubs appear in the nine games. The other sixteen play no international game at all. Jacksonville and San Francisco each show up twice.

  • Designated home teams: Rams, Cowboys, Commanders, Jaguars (twice), Saints, Falcons, Lions, 49ers.
  • Visiting teams: 49ers, Ravens, Colts, Eagles, Texans, Steelers, Bengals, Patriots, Vikings.
  • Staying home: Chiefs, Bills, Packers, Bears, Giants, Jets, Seahawks, Browns, Cardinals, Panthers, Broncos, Raiders, Chargers, Dolphins, Buccaneers and Titans.

Rest matters as much as travel. Jacksonville, New Orleans and New England each get a bye the week straight after playing abroad. San Francisco does not: the 49ers take their break in Week 8, then play in Mexico City in Week 11 and go straight back to work.

Marketing rights sit behind some of the pairings. Under the NFL Global Markets Program, clubs hold promotional rights in specific countries, the Saints in France and the Jaguars in the United Kingdom among them. Those rights cover fan engagement and commercial activity rather than hosting duties, so they often line up with the home team pick without deciding it.
