How the NFL Playoff Predictor Works

1. Seeds. Each conference sends seven teams. Seeds 1 to 4 are the division winners and seeds 5 to 7 are the wild cards. The predictor loads them from the live standings; use the arrows to move any team up or down.

2. Bracket. Tap a team to send it through. In the Wild Card round the 2 seed hosts the 7, the 3 hosts the 6 and the 4 hosts the 5, while the 1 seed has a bye. The bracket then reseeds, so the 1 seed meets the lowest seed left in the Divisional Round. The two Conference Championship winners meet in Super Bowl LXI.

3. Champion. Pick the Super Bowl winner to see your champion and its full road. “Most likely bracket” sends the team with the better record through every game; “Simulate” plays each game with odds based on the records, so every run is different.

NFL Playoff Predictor FAQ

Where do the seeds come from?

From the current NFL standings, with the official tiebreakers applied. They update after every game, so the predictor always starts from the bracket as it stands today.

How many teams make the 2027 NFL playoffs?

Fourteen: four division winners and three wild cards in each conference. Only the 1 seed in the AFC and the NFC gets a first-round bye.

Does the NFL bracket reseed?

Yes. After the Wild Card round the 1 seed plays the lowest remaining seed in its conference and the other two winners meet. The predictor applies that rule automatically.

When is Super Bowl LXI?

Sunday, February 14, 2027 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on ESPN and ABC. Wild Card weekend is January 16 to 18, the Divisional Round January 23 and 24, and the Conference Championships January 31.

Can I save or share my bracket?

Yes. “Share my bracket” copies a link that holds your seeds and every pick. Open it later on any device, or send it to friends to compare brackets.

Who won the last Super Bowl?

The Seattle Seahawks beat the New England Patriots 29-13 in Super Bowl LX on February 8, 2026 at Levi’s Stadium, with Kenneth Walker III named MVP.
