Thursday is the first Thursday Night Football game on Prime Video this season. Sunday has two late windows, 4:05 and 4:25, so keep an eye on the TIME column when you plan your afternoon. Fifteen of the 16 games are on free over the air channels; only the Prime Video game needs a subscription.
How to Run a Week 2 Pick’em Pool
- Set the deadline. Picks lock at the first kickoff, Thursday, September 17 at 8:15 PM ET. Collect sheets by Thursday afternoon.
- Share the sheet. Send the PDF by email or group chat, or print a stack for the office. Each player fills in a name and 16 picks.
- Use the tiebreaker. Every player writes the total points they expect in Giants at Rams on Monday Night Football. Closest guess wins if two players tie on correct picks.

Week 2 Pick’em Tips After the Week 1 Results
Week 1 is done except for Broncos at Chiefs on Monday night. Here is what it changed for the Week 2 sheet. Spreads are opening lines from September 13 and will move, so treat them as a guide.
- Lions at Bills is a matchup of Week 1 winners. Detroit beat the Saints 31 to 30 in overtime and Buffalo beat the Texans 36 to 31 behind four Josh Allen touchdown passes. It is Buffalo’s first regular season game at the new Highmark Stadium and Joe Brady’s first home game as head coach. The Bills opened as 3.5 point favorites with a 53.5 total, the highest of the week.
- Steelers at Patriots: rest against momentum. New England lost 13 to 10 to Seattle on Wednesday, so it gets 11 days before this game. Pittsburgh won Mike McCarthy’s debut 20 to 13 over Atlanta on a T.J. Watt interception return. The Patriots opened at 5.5 point favorites.
- Colts at Chiefs is the Sunday night game. Indianapolis gave up 41 points in Baltimore in Week 1. Kansas City opened at 6.5 point favorites, but wait for Monday night before you lock this one in, since it is Patrick Mahomes’ first game back from his ACL injury.
- Giants at Rams is the tiebreaker. The Giants beat Dallas 28 to 20 in John Harbaugh’s first game, with Jaxson Dart throwing three touchdowns. The Rams lost 27 to 7 to the 49ers in Melbourne and play their first home game of the season here.
- Two teams change quarterback. Sam Darnold (hip) is expected to miss Seahawks at Cardinals, so Drew Lock starts for Seattle. Kyler Murray left the Vikings’ win in Green Bay with a concussion, so check whether he clears protocol before Vikings at Bears, or Carson Wentz starts again.
- Know the extremes. Dolphins at 49ers opened with the biggest spread of the week at 12.5 points, while Panthers at Falcons opened at 1.5, the closest line. In a confidence pool, that is where your 16 and your 1 usually go.
