Sling TV NFL 2026-27: Price, Plans, Channel List, Free Trial & Streaming Guide

Sling TV NFL coverage in the 2026 season delivers Monday Night Football on ESPN, Sunday Night Football on NBC in select markets, NFL Network and NFL RedZone, all for less than most live TV streaming services charge. Plans start at $19.99 a month.

This season brings the biggest change yet. Super Bowl LXI airs on ESPN and ABC, so for the first time a Sling subscriber can stream the title game from any market in the country rather than only from the handful of cities where Sling carries a local station.

All prices below verified in August 2026.

Sling TV Price and Plans for the 2026 Season

Sling TV sells six packages. The split that matters for football is simple: ESPN lives on the Orange side, and NFL Network plus the local stations live on the Blue side.

PlanPrice per monthStreamsKey NFL channels
Sling Essentials$19.991ESPN, ESPN2, no locals
Sling Select$19.99 to $29.993NFL Network, FS1, local FOX and NBC
Essentials and Select$34.99 to $44.994ESPN, ESPN2, NFL Network, FS1, locals
Sling Orange$45.991ESPN, ESPN2, no locals
Sling Blue$45.99 to $54.993NFL Network, FS1, local FOX and NBC
Sling Orange and Blue$60.99 to $69.994ESPN, NFL Network, FS1, locals

Sling adds no separate line item for local stations. It reprices the whole plan based on how many your market receives, which is why the advertised rate rarely matches what you pay.

Your marketSling SelectSling BlueOrange and Blue
No local stations$19.99$45.99$60.99
One or two locals$24.99$49.99$64.99
All three locals$29.99$54.99$69.99

Sling Essentials launched in April 2026 with 12 channels including ESPN, ESPN2, Disney Channel and Freeform. At a flat $19.99 with no local fees anywhere, it is the cheapest legal way to stream Monday Night Football.

Sling Select costs the same to start and carries NFL Network, FS1, FX and National Geographic, and Sling now markets it as its NFL preseason plan.

Run your ZIP through Sling’s local channel checker first, because local coverage decides most of what you can watch.

  • NBC, 11 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas Fort Worth, San Francisco Bay Area, Washington DC, Boston, Hartford New Haven, Miami Fort Lauderdale and San Diego.
  • ABC, 8 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Houston, Raleigh Durham and Fresno.
  • Both FOX and NBC, only 7 metros: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Dallas Fort Worth and Washington DC. Five of those also get ABC, which puts them in the top pricing tier.

One recent change catches people out: ESPN3, the feed that used to give Sling Orange a path to ABC sports, shut down in December 2025, so Orange no longer reaches ABC at all.

Separately, ESPN bought NFL Network and the RedZone distribution rights in February 2026. Both kept their place in the Sling lineup.

Which NFL Games Sling TV Covers in 2026

The season runs from Wednesday, September 9 through Sunday, January 10, 2027, with 272 games across 18 weeks.

CBS is the headline gap, taking every AFC Sunday afternoon game and the AFC Championship out of reach. One consolation on the NFL Network games: they are only nationally exclusive, so they air free over the air inside the two competing teams’ home markets.

Sling TV NFL RedZone and Sports Extra Pricing

Sports Extra comes in two versions, and only the Blue side one includes NFL RedZone. That single detail is what most guides get wrong.

  • Price: $11 a month on a single service, $15 a month on Orange and Blue or Essentials and Select.
  • Blue side, sold with Blue or Select: NFL RedZone, Big Ten Network, FS2, Golf Channel, NHL Network, NBA TV, MLB Network, MLB Strike Zone, beIN Sports and Tennis Channel.
  • Orange side, sold with Orange or Essentials: SEC Network, ACC Network, ESPNU, ESPNEWS and the same general sports channels. No RedZone.
  • Cheapest route: Select at $19.99 plus Sports Extra at $11, for $30.99 a month, which also brings NFL Network and FS1.
  • The trap: Essentials plus Sports Extra costs the same $30.99 but sits on the Orange side, so it has no RedZone. Day passes have the same problem, because they run the Orange lineup.

Sling is the cheapest RedZone route inside a full live TV package, but not the cheapest anywhere. NFL+ Premium sells RedZone standalone for $14.99 a month or $99.99 for the season, on any device, with no base plan at all.

NFL Playoffs and Super Bowl LXI on Sling TV

Super Bowl LXI kicks off Sunday, February 14, 2027 at SoFi Stadium. ESPN holds the rights and ABC carries the simulcast, making it ESPN’s first Super Bowl telecast. Because ESPN reaches every market, LXI becomes the first title game a Sling subscriber can stream anywhere in the country. Past Super Bowls were limited to Sling’s local NBC and FOX cities.

Super Bowl LXIFeb 14, 2027ESPN and ABCYes, everywhere on an ESPN plan

That works out to three of the 13 postseason games reaching every Sling subscriber on an ESPN plan. Six more depend on whether Sling carries your local FOX or NBC, and four are never available: both CBS games, the AFC Championship and Prime Video’s Wild Card game.

Does Sling TV Have NFL Sunday Ticket?

No. NFL Sunday Ticket stays exclusive to YouTube TV and YouTube Primetime Channels, the only way to watch out of market Sunday afternoon games.

New subscribers pay $240 for the season, returning subscribers pay $378 with YouTube TV or $480 standalone, and verified students pay $119.

Sling TV Free Trial, Day Passes and Prepay Deals

Sling no longer offers a free trial. Three alternatives fill that role.

  • Flexible passes. $4.99 for one day, $9.99 for three days, $14.99 for seven. Each runs the Sling Orange lineup with one stream, so no local channels and no RedZone, but it is a practical way to catch a single Monday night game.
  • Prepay bundles. Three months start at $49.99 for Select, from $99.99 for Orange and from $159.99 for Orange and Blue. Prepaying two months also unlocks a free AirTV Mini.
  • Sling Freestream. More than 600 free ad supported channels, no account needed. No live NFL games, but a zero risk way to test the app.

Sling revives a half off first month promotion periodically, though none is advertised right now. Its headline discounts usually cover the first term only and then revert to the everyday rate.

Devices and Cloud DVR

Sling runs on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, Google TV, Chromecast, LG, Samsung and Vizio smart TVs, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, iOS and Android, Chrome and Safari. There is no PlayStation app. Sling recommends 25 Mbps if you plan to watch on several devices at once.

Every paid subscription includes 50 hours of cloud DVR, and Unlimited DVR costs $5 a month. Unlimited recordings stay available for nine months with a warning 30 days before expiry, easily enough for a full season of your team’s games. Free Freestream accounts get 10 hours on a 30 day limit instead.

How to Fill the Gaps in Sling TV NFL Coverage

No single service carries every 2026 game. This stack closes every gap, and you can drop any row you do not need.

ServiceWhat it addsPrice
Sling Orange or EssentialsMonday Night Football, an ESPN Wild Card and Divisional game, Super Bowl LXIFrom $19.99 per month
Sling Blue plus Sports ExtraNFL Network, RedZone, local FOX and NBC where availableFrom $56.99 per month
AntennaFree local CBS, FOX, NBC and ABC in HD, the single best fix for Sling’s market gapsOne time hardware cost
Paramount+CBS AFC Sunday games, CBS playoff games, AFC ChampionshipFrom $8.99 per month

Peacock PremiumAll NBC games nationwide plus the Week 17 Saturday exclusive$10.99 per month
NFL+ PremiumNFL RedZone with no base plan, replays and All 22 film$14.99 per month or $99.99 per season
NFL Sunday TicketEvery out of market Sunday afternoon gameFrom $240 per season

An antenna is the smartest companion buy, restoring CBS everywhere plus FOX and NBC in the markets Sling does not serve, for no monthly fee. Peacock is the next best, since it carries all NBC games nationwide.

Sling TV NFL FAQs

Can I watch Monday Night Football on Sling TV in 2026?

Yes, in every market. All 17 Monday Night Football games air on ESPN, which is included in Sling Orange at $45.99 a month and Sling Essentials at $19.99 a month. Sling Blue and Sling Select do not carry ESPN.

How much does Sling TV cost with local channels?

Sling reprices the whole plan rather than adding a separate fee. Sling Select runs $19.99 with no locals, $24.99 with one or two and $29.99 with all three. Sling Blue runs $45.99, $49.99 and $54.99 on the same ladder, and Orange and Blue runs $60.99, $64.99 and $69.99. Sling Orange and Sling Essentials never include locals, so they stay at $45.99 and $19.99 everywhere.

Does Sling TV have NFL RedZone?

Yes, through the Sports Extra add on, but only on the Blue side. You need Sling Blue, Sling Select or a combined package. Sports Extra costs $11 a month on a single service and $15 a month on the combined packages. Orange plus Sports Extra gives you the SEC and ACC channels instead, with no RedZone.

What is the cheapest way to get NFL RedZone?

On Sling it is Sling Select at $19.99 plus Sports Extra at $11, for $30.99 a month, which also includes NFL Network and FS1. Cheaper still is NFL+ Premium at $14.99 a month or $99.99 for the season, which sells RedZone standalone on any device with no base plan.

Can I watch CBS NFL games on Sling TV?

No. Sling carries no CBS station in any market or plan. For AFC Sunday afternoon games, the CBS Thanksgiving game and the AFC Championship you need Paramount+, an antenna or a different live TV service.

Does Sling TV include Thursday Night Football?

No. All 15 Thursday Night Football games are exclusive to Amazon Prime Video, and two of them fall on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Prime also holds the Black Friday game and one Wild Card playoff game.

Is the Super Bowl on Sling TV in 2027?

Yes. Super Bowl LXI on February 14, 2027 airs on ESPN with a simulcast on ABC, so any Sling plan carrying ESPN will have it. That means Sling Orange or Sling Essentials. Because ESPN reaches every market, this is the first Super Bowl a Sling subscriber can stream regardless of where they live.

Which NFL playoff games can I watch on Sling?

Three of the 13 postseason games reach every Sling subscriber on an ESPN plan: one Wild Card game, one Divisional game and Super Bowl LXI. Six more need Sling to carry your local FOX or NBC. Four are never available: both CBS games, the AFC Championship and Prime Video’s Wild Card game.

Does Sling TV have local FOX and NBC channels?

Only in some cities, and only on the Blue side. Sling carries local FOX in 18 markets, NBC in 11 and ABC in 8. Just seven metros get both FOX and NBC: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Dallas Fort Worth and Washington DC.

Which Sling plan do I need for the Thanksgiving games?

Sling Blue or Sling Select, and even then you get at most two of the three Thursday games. FOX carries Eagles at Cowboys and NBC carries Chiefs at Bills, both only in Sling local markets. The 1:00 pm Bears at Lions game is on CBS, which Sling does not carry anywhere. Sling Orange subscribers get none of the three.

Does Sling TV have a free trial?

No. Sling ended its free trial. The closest option is a 1 Day Pass at $4.99, which unlocks the Sling Orange lineup for 24 hours. Sling Freestream also offers more than 600 free channels, though it carries no live NFL games.

Does Sling TV carry NFL Sunday Ticket?

No. Sunday Ticket stays exclusive to YouTube TV and YouTube Primetime Channels. New subscribers pay $240 for the 2026 season, returning subscribers pay $378 with YouTube TV or $480 standalone, and verified students pay $119.

Does Sling TV still have NFL Network in 2026?

Yes. NFL Network is included in Sling Blue and Sling Select at no extra cost. ESPN bought the channel in February 2026 and the NFL took a 10 percent stake in ESPN, but the channel kept its name and its place in the Sling lineup. It now also streams inside ESPN Unlimited.

How many devices can stream Sling TV at the same time?

Sling Orange and Sling Essentials allow one stream. Sling Blue and Sling Select allow three. Orange and Blue, and Essentials and Select, allow four. Add ons do not raise the limit.

Sling TV NFL coverage is the best value in live football streaming this season, provided you pick the right side. Essentials at $19.99 covers Monday Night Football and Super Bowl LXI in any market, while Select at the same starting price adds NFL Network and the cheapest live TV path to RedZone.

The trade off is CBS, the Prime Video and Netflix exclusives, and local stations that reach only part of the country.

Check your ZIP first, add an antenna, and you can follow nearly every game for far less than a cable bill.
