Who Shows the NFL in Germany in 2026?
Since the 2026 season the NFL rights for Germany, Austria and Switzerland belong to RTL and Sky, under a deal that runs through the 2028-29 season.
Together they show up to nine games a week, from Thursday night to Monday night. DAZN still sells NFL Game Pass, the league’s own international streaming package, but it is no longer a German broadcaster.
| Option | Cost | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| RTL and NITRO (free TV) | Free | Two Sunday games, the Thursday, Sunday and Monday night games, the European games and the Super Bowl |
| RTL+ | Monthly subscription | Live streams of the RTL games plus one extra Sunday game each week, only on RTL+ |
| Sky Sport | Monthly subscription | Most games each week, the German Sunday conference and NFL RedZone |
| NFL Game Pass (DAZN) | Season pass | Every game live and on demand, RedZone, NFL Network, playoffs and Super Bowl LXI |
Is the NFL Free on RTL and NITRO?
RTL is the home of free NFL in Germany. Every Sunday it shows two games, usually at 19:00 and 22:25 German time, and it carries all three night games: Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football, which start around 2:15 to 2:20 in the morning in Germany.
RTL also has every European game, including Munich, and the Super Bowl.
NITRO, RTL’s sister channel, showed the German Sky conference for free on the first three Sundays of the season and adds single games on some Sundays. All you need is a normal TV signal, no subscription.
What Does RTL+ Add?
RTL+ is RTL’s streaming service. It streams every RTL and NITRO game live and adds one Sunday game each week that is not on TV, usually at 19:00. That game needs a paid RTL+ subscription.
What Does Sky Sport NFL Show?
Sky is the new pay-TV home of the NFL in Germany. Its own channel, Sky Sport NFL, shows the most games each week, the German-language Sunday conference and NFL RedZone.
In Austria the same games come through WOW. Sky is the choice for fans who want many games with German commentary but do not need every single one.
How Much is NFL Game Pass in Germany?
NFL Game Pass is the only way to see every game of the season live in Germany. It is sold through DAZN, and you do not need a regular DAZN subscription to buy it.
It includes every regular season game, NFL RedZone, NFL Network, the playoffs and Super Bowl LXI, with the US broadcast and German commentary on many games.
The price drops as the season goes on. At launch the Season Pro pass cost €199.99 and Season Pro Ultimate €229.99.
In early November 2026 DAZN cut them to €79.99 and €109.99 for the rest of the season. Ultimate adds multiview, HDR, Dolby 5.1 and more streams at once.
