This is the fourth Black Friday game since Amazon launched the window in 2023, and the first one between two reigning division champions. Here is the start time in every zone, every way to watch, and what the result means for the AFC race.
When Is the NFL Black Friday Game 2026?
The game is played on Friday, November 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving. It is a Week 12 game. The 2025 Black Friday game sat in Week 13.

The venue is Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh. The Steelers say it is their first Friday game of any kind since September 20, 1946, when they beat the Chicago Cardinals 14-7. Denver has never played on Black Friday.
Amazon opens each Black Friday with a pregame show. In 2025 it started 90 minutes before kickoff, at 1:30 PM ET. Amazon has not published its 2026 pregame time yet.
Broncos vs Steelers: What Is at Stake
Amazon picked two teams that won their divisions in 2025. Both play on a short week here, five days after Sunday games on November 22.
Denver Broncos
Denver went 14-3 in 2025, won the AFC West and earned the AFC’s top seed. The Broncos beat Buffalo in overtime in the divisional round, then lost 10-7 at home to New England in the AFC Championship Game on January 25.
Quarterback Bo Nix fractured his ankle on the final play against the Bills and had a second procedure in April. He is cleared for 2026. His 24 regular season wins tied Russell Wilson’s NFL record for a quarterback’s first two seasons. Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh finished 10-7 and clinched the AFC North with a 26-24 win in Baltimore in Week 18, ending a four year title drought. The season ended at home with a 30-6 wild card loss to Houston on January 12.
Mike Tomlin stepped away after 19 seasons and Mike McCarthy took over as the 17th head coach in franchise history. Aaron Rodgers signed a one year deal to reunite with McCarthy and has said 2026 is his last season. Pittsburgh has won the last three meetings with Denver, most recently 13-6 in 2024. Why the Result Matters
Both teams are in the AFC, so the outcome counts twice. It moves the standings and it feeds conference record, the tiebreaker the NFL applies right after head to head when sorting wild card teams.
