Full NFL Power Rankings Week 9 2026: All 32 Teams

Our ranking weighs record, quality of wins, the Week 8 result and current injuries. Each team lists its Week 8 result and its Week 9 opponent. Division races are in the full NFL standings.

Tier 1: Super Bowl Contenders (1 to 8)

1. Buffalo Bills (6-1)
Week 8: W 36-10 vs. Ravens. Week 9: at Vikings (MNF).
The Bills blitzed on 64.5% of Baltimore’s dropbacks and never let the Ravens breathe. Josh Allen passed Jim Kelly for the franchise passing touchdown record (260), and D.J. Moore returned with a touchdown. The defense is the only real question at the top.

2. San Francisco 49ers (6-1)
Week 8: Bye. Week 9: vs. Raiders.
San Francisco rested in Week 8 and shares the best record in the NFC with Minnesota. The 49ers also brought back DeForest Buckner in a trade with the Colts. A home date with Las Vegas is a good spot to stay on pace for the No. 1 seed.

3. Denver Broncos (6-2)
Week 8: W 28-24 vs. Chiefs. Week 9: at Panthers.
Beating Kansas City in a four-point thriller gives Denver a half-game lead in the AFC West. The Broncos keep winning the games that measure contenders.

4. Chicago Bears (6-2)
Week 8: W 34-17 at Seahawks. Week 9: vs. Buccaneers (SNF).
The biggest statement of Week 8 came on Monday night. Days after trading two first-round picks to Tennessee for Jeffery Simmons, Chicago went into Seattle and won by 17. The Bears are a real NFC threat.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars (5-2)
Week 8: W 42-7 vs. Colts. Week 9: at Ravens (TNF).
Trevor Lawrence threw three touchdowns in a 35-point rout. The Jaguars open Week 9 on Thursday night in Baltimore against a Ravens team starting its third quarterback.

6. Minnesota Vikings (6-1)
Week 8: L 19-15 at Lions. Week 9: vs. Bills (MNF).
The last unbeaten team is gone. Minnesota lost a tight one in Detroit and slides from the top spot. Monday night against Buffalo is the game of the week.

7. Detroit Lions (5-2)
Week 8: W 19-15 vs. Vikings. Week 9: at Dolphins.
Jared Goff hit Jameson Williams for the go-ahead touchdown to hand Minnesota its first loss, and Jahmyr Gibbs ran for 153 yards. Injuries to Jack Campbell and two concussions in the secondary are the worry.

8. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2)
Week 8: W 27-6 vs. Browns. Week 9: Bye.
Four straight wins and a half-game lead in the AFC North. Jaylen Warren ran for 143 yards and the defense held Cleveland to two field goals. Pittsburgh heads into its bye in first place.

Tier 2: Playoff Push (9 to 16)

9. Cincinnati Bengals (5-2)
Week 8: W 43-36 (OT) vs. Titans. Week 9: at Falcons (Madrid).
Joe Burrow threw for 426 yards and five touchdowns, then won it with a 9-yard overtime run. Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins both topped 140 yards. Three interceptions and a shaky defense keep them out of the top eight.

10. Kansas City Chiefs (5-2)
Week 8: L 28-24 at Broncos. Week 9: vs. Jets.
A narrow road loss to Denver drops Kansas City a few spots, not out of the race. The Jets at home is a bounce-back chance.

11. Seattle Seahawks (4-4)
Week 8: L 34-17 vs. Bears. Week 9: vs. Cardinals.
A home blowout on Monday night exposed the offense. Seattle is now .500 and needs a win over Arizona to stop the slide.

12. New England Patriots (5-3)
Week 8: W 24-19 at Dolphins. Week 9: vs. Packers.
Down 13-3 at halftime, New England scored 21 straight second-half points to win in Miami. Hunter Henry’s foot injury is the concern before Green Bay visits.

13. Green Bay Packers (5-3)
Week 8: W 27-19 vs. Panthers. Week 9: at Patriots.
Jordan Love threw three touchdowns on Thursday night, and the Packers had extra rest. A road trip to New England tests where they stand.

14. Cleveland Browns (5-3)
Week 8: L 27-6 at Steelers. Week 9: at Saints.
Six points in the AFC North showdown is a step back. Harold Fannin Jr. had a career-high 154 receiving yards, but Cleveland never threatened.

15. New York Giants (4-2-1)
Week 8: Bye. Week 9: at Eagles.
The Giants rested in Week 8 and still lead the NFC East. A trip to Philadelphia is a chance to bury a struggling division rival.

16. Los Angeles Rams (4-4)
Week 8: W 24-9 vs. Chargers. Week 9: at Commanders.
A comfortable win in the LA derby gets the Rams back to .500. They need to string wins together from here.

Tier 3: Middle of the Pack (17 to 24)

17. Las Vegas Raiders (4-4)
Week 8: W 38-33 at Jets. Week 9: at 49ers.
The Raiders snapped a four-game losing streak, and their 221 points are the most through eight games since 2002. San Francisco is a far tougher test.

18. Baltimore Ravens (4-4)
Week 8: L 36-10 at Bills. Week 9: vs. Jaguars (TNF).
Lamar Jackson hurt his right thumb on his first snap back, needs surgery and is expected to go on injured reserve. Tyler Huntley has turf toe, so undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano makes his first NFL start Thursday. The Ravens managed 144 net yards in Buffalo.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-5)
Week 8: W 16-0 vs. Falcons. Week 9: at Bears (SNF).
Bucky Irving ran for 170 yards and the defense pitched a shutout. A Sunday night trip to Chicago will show if it is a turnaround.

20. Carolina Panthers (3-4)
Week 8: L 27-19 at Packers. Week 9: vs. Broncos.
Carolina hung around in Green Bay but could not finish. At 3-4 the Panthers still lead the NFC South, but Denver at home is a tough draw.

21. Arizona Cardinals (3-5)
Week 8: W 33-30 (OT) at Cowboys. Week 9: at Seahawks.
Arizona benched Jacoby Brissett, and Gardner Minshew threw three touchdowns in relief. Tyler Allgeier ran for 147 yards in a comeback from 17-3 down.

22. Houston Texans (2-5)
Week 8: Bye. Week 9: at Chargers.
Houston comes off its bye with a winnable road game against the winless Chargers.

23. Atlanta Falcons (3-5)
Week 8: L 16-0 at Buccaneers. Week 9: vs. Bengals (Madrid).
Shut out in Tampa, with Michael Penix Jr. throwing four interceptions. Atlanta is the home team in Madrid and needs answers fast.

24. Washington Commanders (2-4-1)
Week 8: W 27-10 vs. Eagles. Week 9: vs. Rams.
Jayden Daniels earned his first win since October 5, 2025. Beating Philadelphia by 17 is the best Washington has looked all season.

Tier 4: Bottom of the League (25 to 32)

25. Dallas Cowboys (3-5)
Week 8: L 33-30 (OT) vs. Cardinals. Week 9: at Colts.
Dallas led 17-3 late in the third quarter and lost in overtime at home. That collapse drops them into the bottom tier.

26. New Orleans Saints (2-5)
Week 8: Bye. Week 9: vs. Browns.
New Orleans had Week 8 off and hosts a Cleveland team coming off a rough loss.

27. Philadelphia Eagles (2-6)
Week 8: L 27-10 at Commanders. Week 9: vs. Giants.
With Jalen Hurts out for the season and Saquon Barkley dealing with hamstring and back injuries, Philadelphia has lost its way. A home loss to the Giants would end any playoff talk.

28. Indianapolis Colts (2-6)
Week 8: L 42-7 at Jaguars. Week 9: vs. Cowboys.
A 35-point loss in Jacksonville is the low point of the season, and the Colts already traded DeForest Buckner. Dallas visits in a battle of struggling teams.

29. New York Jets (2-6)
Week 8: L 38-33 vs. Raiders. Week 9: at Chiefs.
The offense showed life against Las Vegas, but the defense gave up 38 at home. Arrowhead is next.

30. Miami Dolphins (1-6)
Week 8: L 24-19 vs. Patriots. Week 9: vs. Lions.
Miami led 13-3 at halftime and then gave up 21 straight points. Detroit visits on Sunday.

31. Tennessee Titans (1-7)
Week 8: L 43-36 (OT) at Bengals. Week 9: Bye.
Tennessee traded Jeffery Simmons to Chicago and still nearly won in Cincinnati. Cam Ward threw for 304 yards, Tony Pollard scored twice and Amani Hooker had three interceptions.

32. Los Angeles Chargers (0-7)
Week 8: L 24-9 at Rams. Week 9: vs. Texans.
Still winless. Justin Herbert threw two interceptions in the LA derby, and Houston is next.
