Week 1 at Detroit and How the Preseason Went
The opener is Sunday, September 13 at Ford Field, 1:00 PM ET on FOX. It is the third time the Saints have opened against Detroit and the first in Michigan.
The preseason finished 1-2. Jacksonville won 24-20 at the Superdome, the Rams won 34-0 at SoFi Stadium, and the Saints closed with a 27-24 win at Dallas on August 28, decided by a 53-yard Daniel Carlson field goal with 1:55 left. The roster was cut to 53 on August 30.

Daylight saving ends on Sunday, November 1, the Saints bye weekend, so the split is clean: every game through Paris in Week 7 is on daylight time, everything from Week 9 on standard time. Kellen Moore returns for year two after a 6-11 debut that ended far better than it began.
