Daylight saving time ends on Sunday, November 1, 2026, which is the Saints bye weekend. The split is unusually clean as a result: every game through the Paris trip in Week 7 is on daylight time, and every game from Week 9 onward is on standard time.

Sixty Seasons of the Black and Gold
2026 is the 60th season in franchise history. The Saints began play in 1967, and the anniversary runs all year: commemorative uniform patches, field markings and stadium signage, street banners along Poydras Street, and a six-part documentary series called Saints at 60 from September.

Kellen Moore returns for year two after a 6-11 debut that ended far better than it began. New Orleans lost 10 of its first 12, then won four of the last five and went 4-0 in December, only the third unbeaten December in franchise history and the first since 2011. New Orleans took Arizona State wideout Jordyn Tyson eighth overall to open an eight-player draft class that also brought in Georgia tight end Oscar Delp and LSU receiver Barion Brown. On defense, corner Quincy Riley and safety Jonas Sanker were All-Rookie picks on a unit that finished fourth against the pass.
The context for all of it: New Orleans has not reached the postseason since the 2020 season, a five-year drought. Five of the 17 opponents finished 2025 at .500 or better, and four made the playoffs: Green Bay, Carolina, Pittsburgh and Chicago.
