The Washington Commanders do not yet know when they finish their season. Weeks 16, 17 and 18 all sit without a date, which is more undated football than any club wants and more than most of them carry. Everything before that is fixed.

The Last Three Weeks Have No Dates Yet

Minnesota away, Jacksonville away and Dallas at home are the closing three fixtures, and the league has assigned none of them a day or a kickoff time. Week 16 is confirmed no later than immediately after Week 14, Week 17 after Week 15, and Week 18 only once Week 17 has finished.

That is the price of flexibility. Those three games could land on a Saturday, a Sunday afternoon, a Sunday night or a Monday, and the answer depends largely on whether Washington is still in contention when the decisions are made.

Anyone planning travel for the finale against Dallas should wait. The rest of the calendar can be written in ink.

Flexible scheduling applies to the dated Sunday afternoon games as well, so a 1:00 PM fixture can still be lifted into a night window later in the year.

A Home Game in London, Eight at Northwest Stadium

Washington is credited with nine home fixtures and plays eight of them in Landover. Week 4 against Indianapolis is the exception, staged at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London at 9:30 AM ET with the Commanders as designated hosts.

Northwest Stadium holds around 64,000 and sits in Landover, Maryland, a short drive east of the District. The eight dates played there are Seattle, the Giants, Philadelphia, the Rams, Cincinnati, Houston, Atlanta and the Dallas finale.

Four games are in prime time, in Weeks 6, 8, 10 and 11, split evenly between home and away. The bye arrives early in Week 7, straight after the Monday night trip to San Francisco. Division positions are tracked on the NFL standings page.

Dan Quinn’s Third Year With Two New Coordinators

Washington finished 2025 at 5-12 and third in the NFC East, a season pulled apart by injuries. Jayden Daniels was among those who lost time, and a team that had been in the playoff conversation a year earlier was not in it at all.

Dan Quinn stays for a third season, but both coordinators are new. David Blough takes the offense in place of Kliff Kingsbury, and Daronte Jones takes the defense in place of Joe Whitt Jr. Changing both at once is a strong signal about how the club read last year.
