Five broadcasters carry Seattle this season. FOX has the largest share, which follows from an NFC team playing mostly NFC opponents in the Sunday afternoon windows.

Every preseason and regular season game is also called on radio by Seattle Sports 710 AM and KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM. For the national windows, see our guides to Monday Night Football and Thursday Night Football.

Seahawks Kickoff Times by Time Zone

Seattle sits in the Pacific time zone, so home fans get the friendliest clock in the league for late-afternoon games. Only four road trips leave Pacific Time: Washington, Denver, Philadelphia and Carolina. Two of those, Week 3 at Washington and Week 17 at Carolina, kick off at 10:00 AM Pacific, the earliest starts of the year.

Daylight saving time ends on Sunday, November 1, 2026. The Week 8 Monday night game against Chicago is the first on standard time, so every Seahawks game from Week 8 onward uses the standard-time clock.

Arizona does not change its clocks, which creates a quirk here. For the Week 2 trip to Glendale, kickoff reads the same in Phoenix as in Seattle. By the Week 9 rematch in November, Phoenix has slipped an hour behind and should follow the Mountain column.

If you plan weekends around game days, the calendar version works better. It lays the season out across six month grids, August 2026 through January 2027, with Lumen Field dates filled in Seahawks navy and road trips outlined in action green.

Pinned to a fridge, the odd rhythm of this season is obvious: a Wednesday in September, a Thursday in October, a Saturday in December, a Christmas Friday.

Defending a Title: Seattle Opens the NFL Season

Seattle won Super Bowl LX on February 8, 2026, beating New England 29-13 at Levi’s Stadium for the second championship in franchise history, after the win over Denver in Super Bowl XLVIII. Running back Kenneth Walker III was named Most Valuable Player. The Seahawks finished 14-3, took the NFC West, then swept the postseason, beating the 49ers 41-6 in the divisional round and the Rams 31-27 in the NFC Championship Game, both at Lumen Field.

That title earned Seattle the league’s opening night. The New England Patriots visit Lumen Field on Wednesday, September 9 at 8:20 PM ET on NBC, a straight rematch. It is only the second Wednesday season opener in NFL history, after Cowboys at Giants in September 2012, and the first Wednesday game the Seahawks have ever played.

The schedule keeps circling back to last season. Week 12 sends Seattle to Levi’s Stadium, the building where it clinched the division on January 3 and lifted the trophy five weeks later. Weeks 16 and 18 are both against the Rams. In all, 10 of the 17 opponents made the 2025 playoffs.

Before any of it starts, the build-up is on television. HBO’s Hard Knocks is following Seahawks training camp in Renton for five episodes, premiering August 11 and running on Tuesdays through September 8, the night before the opener. It is the first time in the show’s 25-year history that it has covered a defending Super Bowl champion.

Six Prime-Time Games and a First Christmas at Lumen Field

Six prime-time games is a franchise record, and five are at Lumen Field: the opener against New England, Kansas City on Sunday night in Week 7, Chicago on Monday night in Week 8, Dallas on Monday night in Week 13 and the Rams on Christmas night. The sixth is the Thursday trip to Denver in Week 6.

The Christmas game is the headline. Friday, December 25 is the first Christmas Day game in Seahawks history, and it doubles as a division fixture against the Rams at 8:15 PM ET on FOX.

Add the Saturday afternoon game in Philadelphia on December 19 and Seattle ends up playing on every day of the week except Tuesday, a quirk the club itself flagged on release day.

Lumen Field

Seattle has played at Lumen Field since it opened in 2002. Capacity for NFL games is 68,740, and the partial roof covers about 70 percent of seats while leaving the field open, which reflects crowd noise back down rather than letting it escape. Seahawks fans still hold the Guinness record for the loudest crowd roar at an outdoor stadium, set there in 2013.

The stadium had an unusual summer. It hosted six 2026 FIFA World Cup matches between June 15 and July 6, on temporary natural grass and under the neutral name Seattle Stadium, because FIFA bars sponsor names. The turf and NFL seating are back, and the Hawks Nest kept its new fully backed seats.

Lumen Field sits in the SoDo district, one minute on foot from Stadium Station on Sound Transit’s 1 Line. A clear bag policy applies at every event.

When Is the Seahawks Bye Week in 2026?

Seattle is off in Week 11, the weekend of November 22, after a five-game home stretch broken only by the trip to Las Vegas. The Seahawks then play seven straight weeks to finish, from San Francisco on November 29 through Week 18 in Los Angeles.

Coaching Staff and Key Players

Mike Macdonald enters his third season as head coach and his first as a Super Bowl winner, with John Schneider in his 17th year running football operations. Macdonald kept most of the championship staff, including defensive coordinator Aden Durde, special teams coordinator Jay Harbaugh and assistant head coach Leslie Frazier.

The one significant change is on offense. Brian Fleury was hired as offensive coordinator on February 19, 2026, after Klint Kubiak left to become head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. Fleury spent 2019 through 2025 on Kyle Shanahan’s San Francisco staff, coaching tight ends from 2022 and adding run game coordinator last season. Tyson Prince was promoted to quarterbacks coach, and Zach Orr, Baltimore’s defensive coordinator for the past two years, joined to coach inside linebackers.

Sam Darnold returns at quarterback after a second straight Pro Bowl season: 4,048 yards and 25 touchdowns in the regular season, then 672 yards, five touchdowns and no turnovers across three playoff wins. Wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the 2025 Associated Press Offensive Player of the Year, signed a long-term extension in March and headlines the supporting cast alongside Walker.

How to Get Seattle Seahawks Tickets

Single-game tickets for all 2026 home games are on sale through the club at Seahawks.com/Tickets, with a limit of eight per game. Suites, field seats and group tickets run through the same channel, and Ticketmaster is the official primary and resale partner. Resale also runs through SeatGeek, StubHub and Vivid Seats.

Demand concentrates on the opener, the Christmas game and the Sunday night visit from Kansas City. The Chargers and Giants dates are usually the cheaper way in.
