Cleveland finishes at the Cincinnati Bengals with no date attached, the second year running that the Browns close on the road in Cincinnati. The league fixes Week 18 only after Week 17 ends, splitting the round between Saturday, January 9 and Sunday, January 10, 2027. Sunday afternoon kickoffs from Week 5 on can also move under flexible scheduling, so treat every 1:00 PM slot as provisional until game week.
The shape of the year is unusual. Cleveland opens with back to back road trips for the 11th time in franchise history and the first since 1986, then plays three straight road games in Weeks 7 to 9. The payoff is four consecutive home games from Week 10 to Week 14, which the club notes is its first four game home stand since 1990.
The Pittsburgh Steelers appear twice inside five weeks, at home on Thursday, October 1 and in Pittsburgh on November 1. The 2026 rotation pairs the AFC North with the AFC South and the NFC South, so Cleveland faces all four teams from each of those divisions.

Cleveland plays two of three 2026 NFL preseason games at home. Training camp opened at the CrossCountry Mortgage Campus in Berea on July 29.

WEWS News 5 is the Cleveland flagship for the first two games, with NFL Network also listing them nationally.
The finale against the New England Patriots is a Prime Video broadcast, the same platform that carries the Week 4 Steelers game. The Browns radio flagships carry all three.

Three things to know:
- One prime time game all year. Thursday, October 1 against Pittsburgh at 8:15 PM ET is the only kickoff in the 8:15 or 8:20 PM windows. There is no Sunday Night Football or Monday Night Football date on the sheet. Cleveland is a good draw for it: the club is 10-2 all time at home on Thursday night and has won its last nine, four of them against Pittsburgh.
- Sixteen of 17 games kick at 1:00 PM ET. Every game except the Thursday nighter uses the early Sunday window, so if you know the Browns are playing, you almost always know the time.
- Flexible scheduling can still add a night game. The league can flex into Sunday night up to twice in Weeks 5 to 10 and freely in Weeks 11 to 17, into Monday night in Weeks 12 to 17, and into Thursday night up to twice in Weeks 13 to 17. A strong first year under Monken is the realistic path to a second Browns night kickoff.

Cleveland travels light this year. Only two of the nine road games leave the Eastern zone: Tennessee on October 25 and New Orleans on November 8, both in Central time and both kicking at noon local. The other seven trips, to Jacksonville, Tampa, MetLife Stadium twice for the Jets and Giants, Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Cincinnati, all keep Cleveland’s clock. No Browns game crosses into Mountain or Pacific time.
Arizona is the exception. The state does not observe daylight saving time, so the Mountain column is off through Week 7. Subtract three hours from Eastern instead of two until daylight saving ends on Sunday, November 1, 2026. From Week 8 on, the column reads correctly.

Huntington Bank Field and the Brook Park Move
Home games stay on the lakefront. Huntington Bank Field sits at 100 Alfred Lerner Way and opened on September 12, 1999. Listed capacity is 67,431, and it remains one of the coldest, windiest buildings in the league once December arrives.
The replacement is already under construction. Excavation started on March 2, 2026 and the Browns held the ceremonial groundbreaking on April 30 for a new Huntington Bank Field in Brook Park, on a 176 acre site next to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
The club puts the project at $2.6 billion, split $1.755 billion from the Haslam family and $845 million public. Football capacity is 67,500 plus 2,500 standing room, and the bowl scales from 6,000 to 75,000 for concerts and other events. It opens for the 2029 season as Ohio’s first enclosed stadium.
That leaves three more seasons of open air football downtown. The home opener on September 27 against Carolina doubles as the induction ceremony for the 2026 Browns Legends class: Brian Brennan, Alex Mack and Lou Rymkus.
When is the Browns Bye Week in 2026?
Week 11, the weekend of November 22. Cleveland plays 10 games before the break and 7 after it, so the rest arrives later than the midpoint. It lands between the home game against Houston on November 15 and the home game against Las Vegas on November 29, which splits the four game home stand into two comfortable pairs.

Browns 2026 Coaching Staff and Key Players
Cleveland rebuilt from the top. Kevin Stefanski was let go on January 5, 2026, one day after the season finale, ending a six year run that produced a 45-56 record, two playoff trips and two Coach of the Year awards.
Who is running the team:
- Todd Monken was hired on January 28, 2026 as the 19th full time head coach in Browns history. He arrives from Baltimore, where he spent three seasons as offensive coordinator from 2023 to 2025, and he already knows the building after a season as Browns offensive coordinator in 2019. Week 6 against the Ravens is his first game against his former team.
- Travis Switzer runs the offense and Mike Rutenberg the defense, with Byron Storer on special teams. Monken built out a staff of 29 coaches and added Dom Capers as senior defensive assistant, his 39th season coaching in the NFL.
- The quarterback job is open. Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel and rookie Taylen Green are all taking camp reps, and Monken had not named a Week 1 starter as of early August. Sanders started the last seven games of 2025 and won the final two.
The roster changed just as much. Myles Garrett, who broke the NFL single season sack record with 23 in 2025 and won Defensive Player of the Year, was traded to the Los Angeles Rams for edge rusher Jared Verse plus first, second and third round picks in 2027, 2028 and 2029. Verse, a Dayton native and the 2024 Defensive Rookie of the Year, now leads the pass rush alongside Carson Schwesinger, who won Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2025 with 146 tackles.
The offensive line was rebuilt after Joel Bitonio retired in June. Tytus Howard came from Houston in a trade, Elgton Jenkins and Zion Johnson signed in free agency, Teven Jenkins re-signed, and Cleveland spent two of its first three draft picks on tackles Spencer Fano at No. 9 and Austin Barber in the third round. Wide receiver KC Concepcion went 24th overall, so the Browns used two first round picks on offence.
Tight end Harold Fannin Jr., who set a Browns rookie record with 72 catches, and running back Quinshon Judkins, who led the team with 827 rushing yards, headline the returning skill group.

How many championships have the Browns won?
