Two more unusual dates follow. The Rams host Green Bay on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, November 25, a window the league has never used before, then spend Christmas Day in Seattle on Friday, December 25.

Two dates stay open, which is one more than most clubs carry. The league has not fixed the Week 17 trip to Tampa Bay yet, and the Week 18 home game against the Seattle Seahawks lands on Saturday, January 9 or Sunday, January 10, 2027 once Week 17 is complete. Sunday afternoon kickoffs can also move under flexible scheduling, so treat the 4:05 PM and 4:25 PM slots as provisional.
The shape of the year is front loaded and then top heavy. Three of the first five games are away from SoFi Stadium, counting Melbourne, and Los Angeles meets an NFC West rival in Weeks 1, 6, 10, 14, 16 and 18. Both Seattle games land in the final three weeks, starting with a Christmas return to Lumen Field, where last season ended.

Rams Preseason Schedule 2026
Three games, and only one of them leaves California. The 2026 NFL preseason finale is played at SoFi Stadium with the Chargers listed as the home team, which is why it appears as a road game.

KCBS Channel 2 carries the first two games and KCAL Channel 9 has the finale, all free over the air across Southern California. Radio runs on ESPN LA 710 AM with a Spanish call on La Primera 1330 AM.
The first two games are afternoon kickoffs, 3:00 PM local at Arrowhead Stadium and 1:00 PM local at SoFi. Only the crosstown finale on August 27 is a night game, at 7:00 PM local.

Three things to know:
- Both Netflix games stay free in Los Angeles. Netflix carries its NFL games nationally but the league still requires a free over the air simulcast in the home markets of both participating clubs. Melbourne in Week 1 and Thanksgiving Eve in Week 12 are both Rams home games, so Los Angeles gets both on a local station. The call letters have not been announced yet.
- An antenna covers 13 of the 17 games in Los Angeles. That is seven on FOX, two on CBS, one on NBC, the Week 2 ABC simulcast and both Netflix home games. Week 5 needs ESPN and Week 13 needs Prime Video. Weeks 17 and 18 are unassigned.
- Flexible scheduling can still move things. The Sunday afternoon dates from Week 5 onward are the ones at risk of a night move. The Week 15 home game against Dallas is the most obvious candidate. The Christmas trip to Seattle sits outside the Sunday windows, so it is the least likely date on the card to change.
Out of market fans can pick up the Sunday afternoon FOX and CBS games through NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube. The Monday night games in Weeks 2 and 5 are the only pair on the card, and they come three weeks apart.

Only two games ask Los Angeles fans to be up early: the Week 4 trip to Philadelphia and the Week 9 visit to Washington, both 10:00 AM local. Five of the eight road trips leave the Pacific zone, and three of those are full cross country flights to Philadelphia, Washington and Tampa Bay.
Arizona is the one to double check, because the state does not observe daylight saving time. The Week 6 home game on October 18 kicks at 1:05 PM in both Los Angeles and Phoenix. The Week 10 rematch in Glendale on November 15 is different: after the clocks change on November 1, that 4:05 PM ET kickoff is 1:05 PM in Los Angeles but 2:05 PM at State Farm Stadium.
The Melbourne opener is its own case. Melbourne runs 17 hours ahead of Los Angeles in September, so an 8:35 PM ET Thursday kickoff is 10:35 AM on Friday, September 11 at the ground. Australian fans get a morning game and American fans get a normal Thursday night.

The Melbourne Opener: A Home Game 7,900 Miles Away
The NFL announced on February 5, 2025 that Melbourne would host its first regular season game and named the Rams as the designated team, part of a multiyear commitment to Australia. The opponent, date and kickoff time came later, at the May 2026 schedule release.
Los Angeles was the natural pick. The Rams hold Australian marketing rights under the league’s Global Markets Program, alongside Philadelphia, and the club has built a presence there over several years. The venue is the Melbourne Cricket Ground, an oval with a capacity just over 100,000 that normally hosts Australian rules football and Test cricket.
Three details make this different from a standard international fixture.
- It costs the Rams a SoFi date. Los Angeles is credited with nine home games in 2026, because the NFC hosts the extra interconference game this year, but only eight of them are actually played at SoFi Stadium.
- It is a division game. Most international matchups pair clubs from different divisions. Opening against the San Francisco 49ers puts an NFC West result on the board before either team has played at home. The two finished level at 12-5 last season, separated only by tiebreaker.
- The turnaround is long. After the Thursday night game the Rams do not play again until Monday, September 21. That 11 day gap doubles as the recovery window from a 17 hour time difference.
Melbourne is one of a record nine international games in 2026, alongside Rio de Janeiro, three in London, Paris, Madrid, Munich and Mexico City. It is the only one that kicks off in the morning local time.
When is the Rams Bye Week in 2026?
Week 11, the weekend of November 22. Ten games come before the break and seven after it.
The placement is deliberate. The league gave both the Rams and the Green Bay Packers the same Week 11 bye so that neither team plays a short week into the Wednesday night Thanksgiving Eve game. The rest turns an awkward midweek date into a ten day gap.

Rams 2026 Coaching Staff and Key Players
The head coach and the quarterback stayed. The coordinator room and the defensive front did not.
- Sean McVay enters his tenth season. Los Angeles has reached double digit wins and the playoffs seven times in his first nine years and has finished with a winning record in all but one.
- Nate Scheelhaase was promoted to offensive coordinator on February 20, 2026 after two seasons as pass game coordinator. He replaces Mike LaFleur, who left to become head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, an opponent the Rams face twice. Chris Shula returns for a third year running the defense.
- Kliff Kingsbury joined as assistant head coach in February after two seasons as the Commanders offensive coordinator. Bubba Ventrone took over special teams, and former Rams receiver Robert Woods retired and joined the staff as an assistant wide receivers coach.
- Matthew Stafford won the 2025 NFL MVP award on February 5, 2026 after leading the league with 4,707 passing yards and 46 passing touchdowns, a franchise record. The Rams finished number one in both total offense and scoring, the only team in the league to pass 500 points.
- Myles Garrett arrived from Cleveland on June 1, 2026 for Jared Verse and three picks: a 2027 first, a 2028 second and a 2029 third. Garrett was the reigning Defensive Player of the Year and set the NFL single season sack record with 23 in 2025. Cornerback Trent McDuffie came from Kansas City in March for four picks and signed a four year extension.
- Byron Young is back after a career high 12 sacks and a first Pro Bowl. The receiving group is intact too: Puka Nacua led the NFL with 129 catches and was second with 1,715 receiving yards, while Davante Adams led the league with 14 receiving touchdowns in just 14 games. Kyren Williams and Blake Corum share the backfield.
- Two other changes are visible before kickoff. The club unveiled a refreshed primary logo and uniforms for 2026, dropping the gradients in favor of solid sol gold and adding a white pant option. Los Angeles was also the least penalized team in the league last season with 75 flags.
